Hardwood and LVP floor installation

New solid or engineered hardwood finished on site, or luxury vinyl plank where wood doesn't make sense. We remove the old floor, prep the subfloor and install it right.

A floor is only as good as what's under it. Before any boards go down we check the subfloor for level, moisture and loose spots, because that's where squeaks, gaps and cupping come from later.

What we install

Solid hardwood, unfinished

Red oak, white oak, maple and others, nailed down and then sanded, stained and finished in your house. This gives a seamless floor with no beveled edges, a custom color, and the option to refinish it for decades. It's what most of our installations are.

Prefinished and engineered hardwood

Factory-finished planks that are ready to walk on the same day. Engineered boards are the right call over concrete slabs, in basements, and with radiant heat.

Luxury vinyl plank (LVP)

Waterproof, tough, and a good-looking option for kitchens, bathrooms, basements and rentals. We install click-lock and glue-down LVP with proper subfloor flattening so seams stay tight.

What's included

  • Removal and disposal of carpet, tile, laminate or old wood
  • Subfloor inspection, leveling and repairs
  • Moisture check before installing wood
  • Installation, including transitions, thresholds and stair nosings
  • On-site sanding, stain and finish for unfinished hardwood
  • Matching new wood into existing floors where rooms connect

Matching new floors to old ones

If you're extending hardwood into a room that never had it, or removing a wall between two floors, we lace the new boards into the old so the seam disappears, then sand and finish everything together. Done right, you can't find where the old floor ends.

Common questions

How long does installation take?

Prefinished and LVP: usually 1 to 3 days. Unfinished hardwood: 1 to 2 days to install, plus 2 to 4 days for sanding and finishing.

Can you install over my existing floor?

Sometimes. LVP can often go over a flat existing floor. Hardwood needs a proper wood subfloor. We'll tell you during the estimate.

Do you supply the wood?

Yes. We'll quote material and labor together, or install material you've already bought if it's suitable.
